The California Supreme court upheld the ban on gay marriage in California. If you remember (pretend if you don't), the voters CHANGED THEIR CONSTITUTION so that they could ban gay "marriage."
The Supreme court stated that they were "limited to interpreting and applying the principles and rules embodied in the California Constitution, setting aside our own personal beliefs and values."
Did Hell get chilly? I thought that era of the judicial branch of government interpreting (and only interpreting) the law was over. I might have to re-evaluate now.
